After lots of e-mails and telephone conversations we have a steady and growing flow of various job offers available in the Sydney area. We have excellent relationships between most of Sydney's top employment agencies who e-mail daily with new jobs available.

A wide range of different work means no one is ever chasing the same jobs, which gives you a bigger opportunity to work for longer and save some serious travelling money.

Our job board is updated daily and offers a wide range, including Carpenters, labourers, landscape gardeners, tele-marketing, cafes, bars, restaurants, welders, nurses, carers and admin just to name a few.

The Famous FUNk House BBQ

Last night - Simon the 'wonder chef' (that's how he likes to be known) cooked for over 100 people.

A few beads of sweat appeared on his brow but the smile never left his face!!

There is nothing better than sitting on the rooftop watching the big man turn a snag or too meeting new friends and drinking a nice cool beer while the sun goes down.

Why not come and join us EVERY wednesday for a BBQ on our rooftop. For $3 you get lots of food plus a FREE beer. This is one of our most popular nights as most of the hostel congregates on our rooftop and gets to introduce themselves and meet new people.

FUNky Grand Prix 2008 - Go Karting

What a fantastic day out!!

After a few weeks of very excited guests we finally managed to hit the track and tear up some tarmac on the weekend to hold the first FUNky Grand Prix.

A big thank you to Dean and all his staff @ Fast Lane Karting for an excellent day and a big congratulations to Nick Wright who took the coveted crown for 1st place.

After a few near misses and some very sore bums we managed to get back safely and even had a couple of free drinks in one of the local bars with thanks to the Gaff Party Bar.

All the guests had a brilliant time and we are already being asked when the next event is.

FUNky Grand Prix - A Day Go Karting

Right guys

As it is coming to the end of the formula 1 season and Lewis Hamilton is about to take the drivers championship (about time it wasn't a german, even though we know Hamilton would beat Schumacher anyday), we have decided its about time we should take to the track in our very own F1 (Funky1) tournament.

The price is $45 per person and for this we get:

At least 3 heats per person night racing (30 laps)
BBQ dinner
Trophies and awards
Exclusive use of the track
BYO alcohol (bottle shop next door to the track)
Free party bus to bring us back to the hostel
NSW Karting Licence

All this for only $45 per person!!!

We need at least 40 people to make this happen, so get your names down for it and we need the $45 up front as deposit to secure a place for you.

To top things off it is also Ben's birthday so it should be a good laugh watching him tear up the track and take out a few tyres.

You are more than welcome to invite friends but please ask first.
